A gentle, non-stimulant stool softener for occasional constipation. Each capsule contains 100 mg of docusate sodium, a mild surfactant that draws water into the stool to make bowel movements softer and easier to pass — without the cramping or urgency of stimulant laxatives.

When to consider docusate sodium:

• After surgery, childbirth, or a hospital stay when straining should be avoided
• During short-term use of opioid pain medication or iron supplements that cause constipation
• For patients with hemorrhoids or anal fissures where straining is painful
• For seniors or patients on multiple medications who experience sluggish bowels

How to use: Adults and children 12 years and over take 1 to 3 capsules once daily, preferably at bedtime, with a full glass of water. Results typically appear in 1 to 3 days. Do not use for more than 7 days without consulting your pharmacist or doctor.
